Promoting Charity Walking Events
Charity walkers at end of walk on the Rob Roy Way We are prepared to offer promotional support to registered charities who are undertaking sponsored walks on any of the routes where we have a website presence. This promotional support will run to pre-event advertising, hyperlinking to your charities website and post walk news.

In specific cases Walking Support may be able to offer even greater support in terms of planning or guiding. This for some charities would be very important and we are able to sometimes offer special rates for this type of work. To obtain details of this service please e-mail providing us with dates, the route being used, the charity you are supporting and your contact details. At this stage we are especially interested in supporting events on the Fife Coastal Path, Borders Abbeys Way and the Sir Walter Scott Way.

Through our joint ownership with I-Net Support we have electonic guide books for all the Ways detailed below, these contain both information on the walk as well as extensive history, local interest and advice associated with the walking route.
Simply click on the route where you are wanting a Guide, then view the detail on line and where required download the sections that are of interest.

Shorter Walks
Overlooking Pentlands from Carnethy Hill This is a new section to the website. Especially in the late autumn and winter months the opportunities to get out for longer walks is restricted for many and to escape onto the hills for a few hours may be as good as it gets. We have itemised one such walk that we have recently undertaken and would recommend to others if they have a few hours to escape to the open.

This walk is based on one part of the Pentland Hills just on the outskirts of Edinburgh, but when you are there, you could be miles from urban life. To get the details of this walk long with directional details simply click here to download the Adobe file.
If you do not have Adobe Reader installed on your system you can access a free version by clicking on the Adobe symbol below.
